If you have never used it you should try it. You can Varnish between colors and effects and be painting again in 30 minutes. While it takes the shine from gloss, it does not effect the sheen of metal.<br /><br />Also, while I agree with your analysis of dropper bottles, all of them, even the Vallejo ones have a way to remove the dropper so you can put an agitator into them. The reaper master series ones actually come with on already in them (a small pewter Skull).
